REGARDING MAKE-UP, I SUGGEST KEEPING IT NATURAL AND AVOIDING EXCESSIVE HAIRSTYLES (ESPECIALLY FOR MT STUDENTS). IT'S IMPORTANT TO PRESENT YOURSELF TO AGENTS AND CASTING DIRECTORS AS YOU WOULD ON A REGULAR DAY, SO A CASUAL EVERYDAY MAKE-UP LOOK IS TYPICALLY BEST. YOU CAN ALWAYS ADD MORE MAKE-UP TOWARDS THE END OF THE SESSION IF DESIRED. ADDITIONALLY, IF ANY UNEXPECTED BLEMISHES OR SPOTS ARISE, REST ASSURED THAT THESE CAN EASILY BE EDITED OUT DURING THE RETOUCHING PROCESS.
• WHEN AND HOW CAN I EXPECT TO RECEIVE MY PICTURES?
FOLLOWING THE PHOTO SESSION, I WILL SEND YOU A LINK TO A PRIVATE ONLINE GALLERY CONTAINING ALL OF THE IMAGES.
• WHAT ITEMS SHOULD I PREPARE AND BRING ALONG FOR THE PHOTO SHOOT?
I RECOMMEND THAT EVERYONE BRING AT LEAST FIVE OR SIX DIFFERENT TYPES OF TOPS FROM THE FOLLOWING LIST: A NEATLY PRESSED BLACK SHIRT (FOR MEN), A BLACK DRESS (FOR WOMEN), A BLACK AND WHITE T-SHIRT/TOP, SOME SKINNY STRAP TOPS/TANK TOPS WITH EITHER A 'V' OR WIDE ROUND NECK, A BLACK 'V' OR WIDE ROUND JUMPER, A TURTLE NECK JUMPER (WHICH ALWAYS LOOKS GREAT ON HEADSHOTS), AND A FEW COLOURED TOPS THAT COMPLEMENT THE COLOUR OF YOUR EYES. PLEASE AVOID BRINGING GARMENTS WITH PRINTS OR PATTERNS AS THEY CAN DISTRACT THE VIEWER FROM THE MAIN FOCUS OF YOUR HEADSHOT, WHICH SHOULD BE YOUR EYES. ADDITIONALLY, ENSURE THAT SOME OF YOUR GARMENTS HAVE A WIDE SCOOP NECKLINE AS THIS CAN MAKE YOUR NECK APPEAR LONGER AND HIGHLIGHT YOUR COLLARBONES.

• WHAT IS THE PAYMENT METHOD?
YOU ARE REQUIRED TO MAKE A PAYMENT FOR YOUR SESSION VIA WIRE TRANSFER OR CARD IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE SHOOT. ADDITIONALLY, A DEPOSIT IS NECESSARY WHEN YOU BOOK YOUR SLOT.
• IS IT POSSIBLE FOR ME TO REQUEST ADDITIONAL RETOUCHED IMAGES AT A LATER TIME?
CERTAINLY, I CHARGE £25 FOR EACH ADDITIONAL RETOUCHED IMAGE, AND THE PAYMENT CAN BE MADE ONLINE.
On the day, right before we start shooting we will have a little chat where I will find out the specifics of what you need and what these headshots will be used for, so I can tailor our shoot to match your needs.
I will start our shoot in the studio and if the weather permits we will go outside and do some natural light shots as I have some great locations around my place. During the shoot I will be giving you directions concerning the character I would like to see from you. For example I can say, let's go for a determined, focused look or a kind thoughtful doctor or a romantic lead etc. We will go with the flow to get a nice range of shots. Also, importantly, during the shoot I will be showing you results of what I'm doing so you can see our progress. Depending on your headshot package, the duration of the shoot will vary as will the amount of images and looks (clothes changes).
AFTER THE SESSION
Right After the shoot I'll upload all your images into online private gallery so you can view your headshot session at home in your own time. Also you can send the link to your session to your agent.
Depending on your package you will have a number of images to choose for retouching (airbrushing) where I will edit out blemishes and work on adjustments to the overall image, to make it look even better! And you can decide on those later, when you are ready. Usually you send a selection of 20 or so shots to your agent, principal or someone who is in the industry and then they can help you pick the final shots for editing. All you'll have to do is to email me your final choice and I'll send you high resolution edited version in colour and black&white back in a few days.
